Essen lane is miserable

It might be the worst traffic road in Baton Rouge with Siegen coming in close 2nd.
Everyone cuts off everyone trying to merge on the interstate. Horns blasting everywhere. Stuck between 2 major hospitals
Baton Rouge drivers also have a very low IQ in general so it makes it that much worse.

Why did they make the side heading to Staring more lanes than the side heading to the interstate?

Still nobody can figure out the left hand turning lane that goes from Essen onto Perkins.

I think that is around the Hundred Oaks / Bawell convergence where you have the mega money homes a block away from the area which used to be the street the help lived on.

Essen isn’t bad. The stretch between 10 and Jefferson is the worst. I used to commute from prairieville to old goodwood and would spend more time in that 1/2 mile stretch then the other mileage combined
