Eros man accused of explicit calls has bigamy charge too

An Eros man accused of making sexually explicit advances to a Union Parish hairdresser was also accused of bigamy in Ouachita Parish in August.
The entire incident in Union Parish took place after the arrest of Jeffrey G. Jenkins, 38, on Aug. 2 on one count of bigamy. Jenkins bonded out of Ouachita Correctional center shortly after his arrest.
Jenkins was booked into OCC again on Aug. 20 as a fugitive from justice and released to Union Parish on Aug. 21. There he was arrested on warrants for 74 counts of improper telephone communications for making sexually explicit advances
Sixty-six text messages, two voice mails and six phone calls were made to the victim’s phone.
The Aug. 2 bigamy arrest was made on a July 28 warrant issued following a complaint to the OPSO by Jenkins' wife.
The wife told deputies she was moving things around in their home when she discovered her husband, Jenkins, was still married to another woman.
She said she discovered the information on papers, including a marriage license, obtained in Union County, Arkansas in 2004. The second wife and Jenkins married in March in Tennessee.
