Environmental regulators forced SpaceX to capture seals and submit them to sonic booms

Elon was on Lex Fridman's podcast and talked about how they had to allay regulator's concerns that seal populations would be affected by sonic booms from rocket launches at Vandenberg.
To prove that it wouldn't be an issue, SpaceX had to capture two different seals, strap them to a board, put headphones on them and play audio of sonic booms. The seals didn't seem to be phased by the noise and were released unharmed. The vid of Elon telling the story is funny as shite.

Starship launch from Texas could be Friday but still has to be signed off by the Fish and Wildlife Service on different environmental issues so will probably be delayed.

Sonic booms are actually extremely loud and would bust your ear drums if you are anywhere near it. I'm talking about the ones coming from sonar for submarines.

That seal looks like he's listening to Elon's Rogan interview, not rocket sonic booms. Which is about exactly what i would expect Elon to do when faced with something so ridiculous.
