I'm honest about the minimal effort I am willing to go through for things that don't really change my life.

If everything works out, in 2022 they will be throwing government cheese from the floats

Maybe you stage a protest.

With floats

Protest by building floats, throwing trinkets, drinking heavily and showing breasts.

It's not a parade, it's a protest.

Destroya better hope she gets a Gubment Bailout. New Orleans is fricked. I hate it for the small bars and restaurants. Most will likely never return.

Precisely what many of these States are hoping. Will probably work too.

Any sane restaurant or bar owner would shut their operation down because this city is in for an extremely long recovery.

Good bye Pat O'Briens and Tropical Isle you gave generations a smile and memories. Both of you will be missed.

That ordinance could be changed or a waiver could be given, but can you imagine transporting those huge floats over the Causeway?

I feel bad for the Court. Some of these girls have known half their life that this would be their big year... now it’s gone.

Nothing would make me happier than all the NOLA krewes moving to mobile,
Nola krewes' floats are too wide and tall for Mobile's streets. Mobile will likely shut down their Mardi Gras soon. The mayor is just posturing

The court can still have their time in the spotlight. They could just push everything back a year.

As long as they don’t cancel the truck parades, I’m good.

I am sure those will be cancelled just like everything else.

New Orleans will be a ghost town very soon. I can’t imagine any restaurants or bars being around after 11 months of unnecessary closures.

I keep hearing that, but this is not a question of bailing out a city or region after a natural disaster. Every city, county and state is going to have their hands out. Exactly how are they all going to be "bailed out?" Any money they get will be just a drop in the bucket compared to the actual harm that has been caused.
