Just start drinking when you get in the car.

I usually do on the commute from BR to New Orleans. It makes the hour drive enjoyable. Too bad i'm considered a criminal for having a 12oz beer in the car.

Was it a hard day's work?

Somehow that makes it more acceptable.

get up at 5:45 and get back to Metairie around ~6:30 depending on traffic. I usually only do it on fridays as a treat for myself but I don't think I will anymore since it'll be dark out by the time I hit the spillway.

spin off: decriminalize open container between the hours of 5 and 6:30?

I'd question people not drinking between 5 and 6 in the vehicle personally.

Plus, cops can't see you drinking in the car as easily when you're driving home in the dark.

It's really a win all around.

I really do loathe the end of DST. I like to get shite done outside after work and darkness at 5-5:30 just kills it. I enjoy winter but I hate the time change.

It sucks for me now... Go to work in the dark, come home in the dark... With the change, at least I'll go to work in daylight...

Was coming to to post this. I much rather it get dark sooner than waking up in the dark and driving to work in the dark.

Something about waking up in darkness throws me off compared to waking up with the sun.

I do not participate in DST. I do not change my clocks. I'm glad the rest of you will be back on MNT. Mother Nature Time. It's the way it should be.
