Yes, I know a young woman who died in her mid twenties in august but she was a special needs person with plenty of comorbidities
Not saying she does not count - but I know of no one who is healthy and under 40 who has been hospitalized

Does anyone know somebody who has died from Covid that’s under the age of 40 since June?
I do. 35 year old woman died last Sunday.

Better yet I don’t know anyone under the age of 40 whose gotten Covid and has been hospitalized or even that sick since this new delta variant.
A family of 6. Adults under 40. Kids range from 17 to 6. All very sick, but not hospitalized.
I know another who has pneumonia with it who is under 40. Not hospitalized, but very ill.

I guy I went to HS with died last week.
Yes, he was also obese.
It was especially sad because the family also lost a nephew to H1N1 in 2009. I'm not so sure if there are not some type of genetics that these viruses impact more than others.

What is the point of them charting “Covid like symptoms” anymore?
Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:
Fever or chills
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea
Look for emergency warning signs for COVID-19. If someone is showing any of these signs, seek emergency medical care immediately:
Trouble breathing
Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
New confusion
Inability to wake or stay awake
Pale, gray, or blue-colored skin, lips, or nail beds, depending on skin tone

Gov pretends to care about health. Recommends things other than healthy lifestyle.

I was listening to NPR earlier this week and they were interviewing a doctor who is a director (or similar position) of a children's hospital somewhere in the state (can't remember where). He casually mentions that nearly 50% of the Covid hospitalization statistics for his hospital are children who aren't there specifically for Covid but had tested positive for Covid because they test every patient for it. These are children who weren't entering the hospital because of Covid complications but then tested positive and therefore count towards Covid hospitalization usage statistics.

Why does it have to be a nanny state?
There is plenty of information out there. Let people make their own choices.

. @LouisianaGov says of the debate over masks in schools and parents' arguments that it's up to them to decide about masks: "There is no right to unreasonably endanger the lives of others. That doesn’t exist. Rights under the Constitution are not absolute." #lalege #lagov

My kid's school isn't enforcing them and most kids aren't wearing them.

Did that ugly frick add anything or did he just stand up there and tell lies?

Wonder if Destroya is going to have her own presser later on today. Haven't heard anything about one yet.

I know all of that. But at the end of the day you can ultimately tell if those symptoms are Covid positive or not with testing. The patients he is talking about are indeed presenting with symptoms so we aren’t talking about the asymptomatic window where the test may not be as accurate. So they are Covid or they aren’t:
