you should have a pvc clean out standing vertically near where the condensation drain leaves the unit, if you have a plumbers snake, run it down the drain a bit then pour a little bleach down it

Two things: your ac is not broken, you just need to clean the drain line, also an ac company won't do anything for the water damage. If you can't replace the float I guess they can do that tho.

step 1: shut off ac
Step 2: get a hose from outside and run it inside the house from the drip pan in the attic down into a tub or sink.
Step 3: with someone holding the hose in the water upstairs, get a siphon going on the pan. Drain it.
Step 4: get a hanger and disassemble the drain line from the pan enough so you can clean it out
Step 5: pour bleach down it once you clean it out mechanically
Step 6: buy and install a new float shutoff valve.
Step 7: fix all the water dmg. You'll need someone who can do Sheetrock work if any was destroyed. Otherwise you just need kilz for the water stains and some flat white paint for the ceiling.
