I was around two tech “busts”
You know who hurts in the industry? The marketing majors that were hired cause theyre hot and flirted with the lead sales director, the outsourced contractors doing low level functionary tasks, the young graduating coders that now have an abundance of 10 year vets with big 5 tech on their resume competing for jobs.
You know who’s gonna be fine? The veteran software engineers and data scientists creating the actual content moderation databases, algorithms, and code to flag and automatically remove the child porn and Nazi posts that make advertisers skittish and some of you all want to see burn…
Regardless of the LARP’ing fantasies, most of the employees you hate so much will have new 175k jobs in a couple weeks/months. Enjoying their severance while they put it all together.
