It's just a weird flex about something that people claim to not care about. A vast majority of twitters revenue comes from ads. If people hate it, they don't have to advertise with it.

Oh I don’t care about Twitter at all. But I know a bunch of hard core leftists are going to lose their shite over this and their misery makes me a feel a little bit warmer on these chilly nights. It starts and ends with their pain for me personally.
