I'm cool with ending immigration completely.
But I also think the H1B fight is pretty dumb. There are only 65,000 H1B visas per year, while we have millions of unskilled and unvetted illegals streaming over the border every year.
The H1B visa holders are at least vetted, interviewed, etc. Generally are productive members of society and not criminals.
The H1B problem is something we should be fighting after we solve the vastly more important issues.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
You get what you pay for, just like with anything in life.

Breaking news, Musk has the same position he had four years ago, counter to Trump's position onthe topic. How will we ever recover from differing opinions

Simple it’s what the market dictates.
Person A: Entry Level .NET Developer asking for 90K
Person B: Entry Level .NET Developer asking for 75K
Both have equivalent skills and experience and both crushed the interview and the culture test……who do you hire?

Elon is a liberal. He’s right on freedom of speech and got the goods to back it up, but no mistake, he’s not out there to save the world, he’s got his best interest in mind.
H1B’s are worth eradicating the government controlling propaganda though

You're talking about the market that is artificially weighted due to importing cheap foreign labor?

These are all false
In my 20 years of dealing intimately with this process I can unequivocally say you are wrong. If you are letting mom and pop staffing companies from LinkedIn find your H1Bs then you are doing it wrong. If you are paying them 20K for a 90K job you are doing it wrong (there are savings here but not nearly that much.)

How is it artificially weighted if these companies are providing goods and services that people are buying and using…..I mean shite every person in this thread is using stuff from a successful company that may not have been as successful without the H1B program and its resources.
