I can see what he means. For example bringing all the experienced microchip engineers and such from Taiwan. I believe he would be building a stronger America if this is what he means. It would be cornering the world market on intellectuals.

A reminder that it's always been a class war. When the billionaires control the government do you really think they have your best interests in mind or are they trying to make themselves and their friend even wealthier.
There's a reason why the kid that killed the Healthcare CEO is being treated like a terrorist. They don't want the working class to rise up. That's just a fact. It's always been this way.
Musk is probably the biggest threat to US citizens right now because he's backed by Putins oligarchs.
America is turning into a country of oligarchs controlled by Putin

I'd take engineers making gov decisions over our current situation of lawyers making policy decisions.
That's fair, but lets be honest, no one will be perfect, but such is life.
Also, what I was getting at is that when people consider someone to be "smart" or a "genius" I think there are people who look at that person as being able to do it all. I was just saying that just because a person has a mind for one thing doesn't mean they have a mind for something else. Or they can have a mind for multiple things, but be overconfident in other areas where they might not be as effective.
With that said, like everyone else on here, I do not know Elon Musk personally so I truly can't say what else he does well and what he doesn't do well at.

When are people going to just be okay with the fact that immigration is crucial to our economy and the function of our country? From the people that pick your strawberries to those who crack your chest open and save your lives from years of McD's and Marlboro reds?
Americans aren't educated enough... but we don't want immigrants? But the answer is to eliminate the Dept of Ed, keep college tuition astronomical so a college degree is either unattainable or financially crippling, paint teachers as groomers and make them buy their own basic classroom supplies... cannot imagine how we are here.

And half the posters here are cheering it on and honestly believe it's going to get better.
I'm not sure which part of that sentence is more depressing.

If it's similar to the proposal Ted Cruz made several years ago, it has very little effect on American jobs. Cruz's proposal would force HB1 hires to be paid similar to the same pay as Americans doing the same jobs. So it will deter cheating to just hire cheap labor.
Again, it never works this way. More smoke and mirrors, just like the illegal immigration bullshite. It doesn't do anything in reality. Everything they are saying is a diversion from facts. You will still have Americans finishing collage with $100,000 loan debts that can't find jobs. Don't drink the kool-aid. While the colleges in India were a lot cheaper, Indians won't have the same debt. Americans make an investment going to go to collage similar to a mortgage. Now their future is being stolen from them.

Those people aren't coming over on H1Bs. They are coming on O-1s

It's capped at 65k but shockingly the government actually approves 2-3x that every year.

I don't know what biased bullshite you are reading, but once somebody has an opinion in their head, its often impossible to remove. There is nothing miniscule about this. Entire industries are being taken over with this. I don't care about what lying propaganda you have read. If its written on paper that dosent make it true...Yes, even if it looks official.

Is there a country-by-country quota/limit?
