Not sure how a 3 day paper makes any sense. That's doing something just for the sake of still existing without providing any real service.
No one wants to wait two days to find out what happened.

Alexandria starting going down when Ethma Odom died !

Town Talk is terrible excuse for a paper anyway. Earl K. Long said it best many years ago.

It's all my dads fault. After getting the crappy Town Talk for 30+ years, he canceled his subscription in January.

I used to go the OTB on highway 28 quite a bit when it was still there. She had a ne'er do well brother who she supported and who may have lived with her. He was there nearly every day. She'd drop him off at the front door in her Lincoln Town Car and pick him up again when he went broke about halfway through the race card.

Yea. And when Babs Zimmerman and her fine self was taken off KALB that just put the final nail in the coffin.

Didn't realize that. I don't think my parents ever subscribed the Daily World (Daily Error in our household) when I was a teen in the '80s. We'd always get it from my grandparents the day after or two.

I recall her name now that it has been mentioned. Used to watch KALB from the central St. Landry Parish. I'm trying remember who hosted Langniappe back in the '80s/'90s.
ETA: Also, back then Mark Hamblen would anchor sports but there was a (younger, I think) guy that handled the weekend sports and would fill-in for Mark sometimes. Can't recall his name.
Steve Coco was a news anchor in Lafayette before going to KALB and there was an older gentleman with glasses and a mustache, can't recall his name.
