I don’t agree with making kids wear masks but that dad is obviously an idiot with the way he handled it. And with the conspiracy remark he’d fit in on the Politics board.

People are tired of this non sense and this going to start happening more and more. Not saying the father is right ,but I can understand the why behind this. This virus is out there and will be seasonal like the flu, regardless of vaccines people will get this, and some may die. The masks are useless, social distancing is stupid and other than washing your hands and getting the vaccine there is nothing you can do. We have to live with it like we live with 1000s of other things that we deal with daily that can still kill you. This is definitely not about the virus anymore if it ever was, it is about control.

Masking children is retarded. If you want to see how risk averse most Americans are, just see who's masking up their elementary age children.

He’s completely wrong, the ratios of infections and hospitalizations as it pertains to school ahead children hasn’t changed. The hospitals are full of kids due to RSV thanks to forced social distancing and increased hygiene protocols at schools all year followed by FINALLY letting them be kids in the summer.
This variant is more infectious, not kore deadly, not more virulent. That’s it.

My soon to be 3 year old has had to wear a mask at daycare for the past year. She doesn’t even notice it anymore. I’m pretty sure a 5 year old will be okay.

I think it’s stupid as shite, I agree, but it’s also one of the best daycares in the city and their forced rules. She can form some sentences in both Spanish and Portuguese. It’s either that or my wife quits her job and teach the little one…..and I’d prefer my kid ahead of the game. When school is out, in public on the weekend, masks stay in the drawer.
