Electricity out in Highly affluent Jefferson Terrace. No poors in thread please.

I was watching the Mexicans wax my Bentley in my Jefferson Terrace Adjacent neighborhood and I heard a pop and the electricity went out. Just a heads up for any poors who may want to use this opportunity to rob and loot the best neighborhood in Baton Rouge.

I grew up on Floynell Drive. Jefferson Terrace was pretty good in the 80's and 90's. What's it like now? That guy on Cal Road still have that DeLorean?

It’s timeless. It stays the same decade after decade. Charlie the bike guy has moved out and all the old houses with big lots get bulldozed and 5000-6000 square foot houses go up. The pool is still busy and the park is still full of people. The only difference is that kids don’t go outdoor anymore. Not safe outside. Could run and trip. Or maybe get an ant bite. Highly dangerous.

I remember Charlie. It's good that the park is still going strong - played a lot of baseball there. Spent a lot of time at the pool, too in the summers circa 1989-1992. My folks told me the last time they went through the old hood, our old house (built in 1955) was gone. Kind of made me sad, but c'est la vie. I heard they were going to tear down the school, but I don't know if it has happened yet. It's been about five years since I've passed through. By the time my folks moved away in 2016, there was only one "old timer" neighbor left from our little enclave of neighbors.
It really was a good neighborhood to grow up in. I have no complaints.
