Solid state batteries can double the kwh available from liquid batteries.
Imagine an EV with 600-800 mile range.

What happens to all of these batteries when they no longer work?

The main reason I want a Tesla is the AutoPilot. There is an after market one named Open Pilot still not as good as the Tesla

You're not supposed to ask that.

Recycling. This is an area that is just becoming economically viable and there are quite a few companies developing in the sector.

They’ll be recycled/refurbished. The cell manufacturers are working through scaling different solutions.

They recycle them and make new batteries with the more rare components, Tesla’s goal is that all rare materials will come from recycled Tesla batteries. While probably not achieveable, they could get to the point where new rare material is very minimal.

Comma.ai is open source though, so would be cool to see it get big and better than Tesla’s FSD. Would totally put one on my Tacoma if it worked with it. Maybe 4th gens will support it.

Caddy's auto pilot is said to rival and in some cases better than Teslas.

Cadillac has the same functionality as Tesla, but LIDAR mapping on highways so it's actually superior on divided roads.
But Tesla is about to introduce traffic signal detection.

We need more hybrid style cars. Small onboard diesel engine that creates a charge as you drive.
