re: EBR folks, still having issues with garbage pick up??

Something stinks about this trashy issue.

I don’t understand how they miss a whole subdivision

The Walmart and Office Depot on college have glorious dumpsters.

My trash pickup is on Monday and thursdays. I live in 70817. Every Thursday it’s gets picked up fine. For the last 6 months I would say about 75% of the time they don’t pick it up on mondays. They usually come Tuesday mornings.

Here is the real problem.

Sharon Mann’s running the show which she’s been there from when Bull was setting up these contracts around here. There is a reason why he was called Bull full of cr$p and possibly greased some hands to get these contracts.

You had a company back then BFI, then Allied Waste, and now Republic Waste being handed “THE LARGEST PARISH CONTRACT” without going to bid.

Prior in late 90’s when contract was up back then BFI sent in old clunkers to scare the metro council into bypassing the bid and letting them keep the contract. Common practice in the industry and our government fell for the hook, line, and sinker.

They never lived up to “THEIR SIDE OF THE CONTRACT”.
- Never replaced trucks every six years which is required by contract
- Never got fined which has always been in the contract if they miss routes
-DPW never had any oversite over them.

[b]If you are republic Waste why should you care or follow the rules when the Metro Council, Mayors office, and DPW not doing anything?

EBRP Metro council allowed them to go on like this for years.

They always had problems in middle class rural areas and non important areas of EBRP.
Now when Mid City and Southdowns has issues oh let’s have meetings which amount to nothing while letting the panty wearing mouth breathers in Southdowns swallow the kool aid. You guys did good job you fell for the Bull. Pretty funny Bull started this mess years ago and you are still falling for the bull.

Guess what someone is probably getting paid off with your fees you pay for your garbage transportation service. They are laughing saying sucker!!!!

If you are in the City of Central they might still use Republic Services. It would be under their contract as they are responsible for providing that contractor and agreeing on the rate.

Call your councilperson and file a complaint.

OK, I cancelled service with them on Sept 24(Tuesday) once my final pick up was done. They finally picked up there cans Friday Oct 18th after 3 separate attempts and me calling twice. As of this morning, my online bill has me charged for $149.44. My regular monthly bill was $92. Not only do they have me charged for another 3 months worth of service, but they have charged me a pick up fee for the cans. I be damned if I pay that pick up fee. I have heard that you can get it waived. I called and went 1 step above the first customer service rep just now and of course it's Saturday so I'm SOL today. I am in sales and when my company loans equipment to a customer and something goes sideways, I don't charge them to pick that equipment up because I don't want to burn a bridge, in the hopes I may get that business back at some point. I'm beyond pissed.

The biggest problem I have had is getting bulk pickup. I would call and schedule it because I knew it wasn’t going to get picked up and they would refuse to take my request because I needed to wait until Thursday and THEN if it wasn’t picked up I could call...and wait an entire week.
