When I was a kid the cover of this book with an alien head on it called Communion about alien abduction really freaked me out. I still get goosebumps at the sight of it if I run across it by accident sometimes.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark-Creepiest Illustrations Ever
I haven't seen those drawings in 20 years. I honestly got a little creeped out. They had one story about some kid eating a toe or something. There was a day where I think they were serving something nasty at lunch (probably that hairy arse spaghetti) and I didn't eat. I read that story when the class had library at the end of the day and passed out in my chair and woke up leaning against a bookcase. Shite was gross.

The movie "The Ring" scared me shitless when I was a kid. Every time the TV blacked out I would take off running

Chiller Theater
I had a very vivid nightmare when I was 4 or 5, running through our house at night and all these 6-fingered hands busting through the floor trying to grab me.

When I was really young I saw this news story on people who were being killed by idiots who were throwing cinderblocks off of overpasses onto cars down below. It left quite the impression. Not only was I absolutely horrified to go under an overpass but I was scared someone was going to throw a cinderblock through my roof and onto me while I was sleeping.

oh, and Yuck Mouth
Didn't scare me, just made me nauseous.
Another thing that scared me, was that when I grew up, my work phone number would be:
One-eight-hundred! five-five-one! eight-nine hundred!

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark!
Loved those books. I remember the stories being the scariest stuff I had ever heard before. And TEACHERS would read those darn books to us.
Always liked The Big Toe.. and then the one where the girl was driving home and a guy kept turning on his headlights and following her, and it ended up being because he saw someone in her back seat.
