Why didn't fbi call for backup ? Seems like he should've swing his dick on the deputy

I watched the entire video, I really didn't see or hear anything the deputy did wrong 
I mean just b/c the FBI agent said he had his heater doesn't mean he actually was trying to cause harm, date is December 20, he said his defroster was on, then when guy complained he turned A/C on.
Other than that little incident, which I think is being over dramatized, I didn't see anything wrong. And cops drop tickets all the time.

Interesting. So the big FBI "investigation" was over a bunch of nothing. Not excusing the way the deputy went about this, but it sure doesn't look like the FBI agent went about this the right way (unless of course there is a lot more to it than what that article says).

Ok, so if that's against the law than you're correct. If we are using our FBI to investigate an officer for dropping a ticket, than we need to dissolve our FBI. There's a lot more shite wrong a cop can do than drop a fricking ticket.

Perhaps it's not a 1 off incident. Perhaps FDLE refused to look into it... or perhaps they contacted the FBI to handle this. A lot of unknowns. But seriously who do you get to investigate bad cops, more cops? The kind who refuse to snitch on their own kind, despite berating the public for doing the same?

You're right, there is a lot of unknowns. Unless there has been an update to all this. I'm just going by what I witnessed in the video, it didn't look that bad. I expected much worse before I watched by the comments on here. From what I can see, that cop isn't or shouldn't be about to lose a job. Now there could definitely be more to the story, just going by what I saw.

I was bored enough to watch the whole thing. Deputy was a bit of an arse about not accepting the FBI credentials but there was def a lot of confusion trying to verify the FBI agent when his plates came back to an electrical company instead of government vehicle (great inside joke by the FBI, BTW) and his DL didn’t come back as LE.
No way to tell if heat was actually on in deputy’s vehicle but he sure didn’t seem to care much when the Agent repeatedly requested he leave the drivers door open for fresh air and he kept him contained in the car even after the Agents ID was verified. Didn’t release him until his supervisor radioed to say release him immediately.
I can see legit confusion in the beginning but don’t understand why the deputy had to involve so many from his own department right from the beginning.

Pretty sure it was. FBI agent came over from Jacksonville to investigate. The agent had an informant and wanted to speak to the deputy "off-the-record" and deputy got nervous and called it in which starts the video.
Apparently, the agent ended up having to "retire" because the release of the video has as it basically burned his cover and also hurt the investigation. I also heard that the original video outed an informant before being edited.

Pretty interesting that they said he popped up on a terror watch list. Makes you wonder if the cops are just completely incompetent, or if the agent was working some serious undercover shite.
ETA: Also at the end... when he tells one of the other cops what ticket it was about, the other cop goes “ohhhhh” like he knows something. Then the supervisor walks up, obviously trying to stay outside of the body cam, but the deputy turns toward him and you can see the supervisor signaling him to turn the body cam off right when the video ends. Pretty sketchy.

The FBI agent was a complete a-hole throughout the video. I wouldn't have believed him either, especially when his name comes up on a terror watch list. Don't buy for a second the heat was on....that dude was milking the situation for all he could.

Wait so you don’t believe the guy about the heat but you fully believe that the FBI agent was on the terror watch list??
That was completely made up bullshite by officer dumb dumb to have a reason to detain the guy.

Regardless of who was wrong and who was right......If this was an FBI investigation, it was a shittily ran one.
And the JAX office should be ashamed of themselves, their agent seemed unskilled and unprepared.
He should have been more able to convince the young deputy he was legit.
Seems as though this agent was sent into a situation and not really briefed well.
