This fella figured it out. Assuming grand theft is better than DUI

Man steals Walmart power scooter to drive to bar

The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office says deputies were called Sunday after 32-year-old Brice Kendell Williams arrived at the bar on Corporate Drive by driving the cart around 12:36 p.m.

I bet he could technically get a DUI on that if they found out he drove it in the bike lane or on the road at all.

Had a buddy get a DUI on a Vespa in college going 20 mph to a house down the street

A DUI is basically a parking ticket but we’ve been conditioned to think they’re in line with 1st degree murder.

Alcohol is terrible.

I wish it was illegal.

Well they're obviously more expensive but they're not necessarily going to ruin your life

You can’t get a DUI if you’re not actively operating the vehicle. Or at least that’s what I understand.

People have gotten them on lawn tractors and golf carts.

Seems I heard of someone getting one on a horse once too, but not sure how that would work.

In WI you can get one for sitting in the drivers seat even if the vehicle isn't running.
