Ol Chap has had enough with the modern day professional beggars.

Not all heroes wear capes

Instawhore then took to social media to cry and get sympathy from her fellow beggars which prompted owner to ban bloggers . Dude dngf, he has has similar run ins with vegans since they apparently do not have a sense of humor

Seems like the entire episode was just a PR scheme anyhow. Not much different than the influencers, just pandering for attention.

I’m sure Universal was hurting for publicity before they came.

I've been trying to influence people into having diabetes and high cholesterol, and all I have to show for it is my gut.

I know i'm old but for the life of me I just don't get the whole "influencer" thing. What gives these Douche bags the credibility to promote anything.

I hate the “social influencer” world we live in as much as anyone, but it’s not like she was asking for free stuff just because she’s “internet famous.” She was offering to basically market the hotel to her thousands of followers in exchange for accommodations. Seems like it could be a “fair” offer, maybe not, but it was just an offer. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

To me, the guy running the hotel is the bigger attention whore in this situation, looking for social media likes and attention for “owning” someone who simply made a business offer to him.

the tshirt should read "I stayed at the white moose and I GOT A FREE UPGRADE and this tshirt.

asking for a free upgrade is the bomb, but asking for a free ride shows that this social influencer has fertilizer to spare in their life but not the skills to make a bomb.

P.S. if homeland security is looking at this post, I'm just saying the social influencer is full of shite, nothing else.

It's the real life equivalent to the Yelp episode of South Park

I'm not sticking up for the social media influencer here, but the owner has some holes in their argument.

Partnerships and exposure like this definitely works. Idiots follow other idiots, and if you let someone stay 4 nights in your hotel for free and even 1% of their followers checks out your place and stays there too, then it was worth it.

"Who's going to pay the housekeeper and receptionist?" You are. Then you may see a return on your investment. The owner's cost of 4 nights to get that kind of exposure is less than a commercial or other means of traditional marketing.

The owner certainly did not put the social influencer in a "body bag", they just look like an a-hole. Plenty of businesses give free products for reviews and exposure.
