My dryer started squealing when it first turns on. After 3-5 minutes or so the squealing stops. Any ideas? Thanks.

It is clearly a mouse in there.

Guessing it's the belt, exactly like your vehicle when it makes that noise.

That was my initial thought as well. Is this something I can change myself?

Mine has been doing that for years, when the weather gets cool. Goes away after about 30 seconds. That dryer is about 30 years old. If it stops working I will fix it, or buy another one.
I think it is caused by a roller, that the drum spins on being a little bit tight, and causing the belt to slip a little bit. Once the drum warms up, the belt grips a little better.

Drum bearings. If you have any skill at repairing things you can watch a video on the web for this. Just be careful because of all the sharp edges in the dryers interior.

I watched a youtube on changing the belt and the whole damn thing needed to be taken apart. I think i will pay someone to do this for me.

Replace the bearings. Pretty easy on most models. YouTube can help. Probably $25 in parts.
