probably not related to the vaccine at all.
Regardless, it was rare side effect AND, it usually resolves itself within a couple of months. So he would have to have had this rare side effect (especially since he wasn’t in the group where it was less rare), and that had happened recently (he was probably boosted quite a while ago if he was), and then it would have to have been an actual contributing factor (which a certainty even if those other conditions are met).

More than likely Weiland was in worse shape, but is isn’t like we are privy to all of Hawkins’ personal life. As much as he claimed to be sober, we don’t really know how true that was. And his body must have taken a huge pounding in 2001 with that 2 week coma after his heroin overdose. And he was 50. Suffice it to say, his heart was never going to be much of a match against cocaine.

it is pretty funny how you compare weiland, who wasted away and had a continuous deep heroin habit, to hawkins, who OD’d 21 years ago, and has spent 20 years displaying high levels of cardiovascular fitness performing in a notoriously anti-drugs band
I will concede that just cocaine could easily have done him in, with no other contributing factors.
but you dismiss someone passively wondering if side effects from his three, and possibly four doses of MRNA vax plus the possibility of strong cocaine could have been what did him

Haven’t followed him with any ultra close care but recall thinking the last few articles/interviews over a few year run I’ve seen from him he kind of sidestepped the how do you stay sober questions
It kind of came off as a guy that was managing use instead of being sober but who the heck knows.

I’m a drug addict and alcoholic who has been clean and sober since 12/27/87 … 34+ yrs ago. Put myself in treatment after admitting I was powerless and my then lifestyle would eventually lead to death.
The addict & alcoholic is often in denial and justifying that he can have 1 drink, smoke 1 rock, or snort 1 line. In reality, a kilo of cocaine or a distillery full of your favorite adult beverage is never enough. Even after being sober for 3 decades, the addict in me wants to dab, smoke the new strains of potent weed, and take various new drugs that weren’t around in the 1980’s.
I have to remind myself don’t use TODAY, and the Serenity Prayer gets me through difficult times and situations. Pains me to think about Taylor’s wife and kids. All I can do is pray for them since I have not walked in Taylor’s shoes, but fully understand his addiction.

How does Colombia treat a J&J?
As a guy that’s not into vaccines, seems a real possibility too.
Folks in this thread, based on concerts requiring vaccines, seemed to be assuming he’d be ultra vaccinated and not at the minimum possible to tour
