Drug testing for vendors at plants/refineries

Do plants still randomly drug test vendors that are calling on the plant? I know with DISA the plants have a pool of contractors/outside workers that they randomly test. But, in the past any person calling on the facility may have been subject to testing. Does this still happen or only for people doing actual work in the plant?

I've found that not doing drugs is a great way to not have to worry about random drug testing.

been calling on plants for 11 years, never been asked to be screened. If you frick up and hurt yourself or someone else while in the plant I'm sure they would screen you right then and there.

I never understood why anyone would want to go into a field that prevents you from doing stuff you enjoy. For Christ sakes just open up a bar or buy a successful business with the mandatory trust fund that everyone I know gets.

My brother is the one concerned about this. He started working for a company and was screened by them. He will be calling on plants/refineries in the area, but never doing actual work. More lunch and learns and that sort of thing.

No worries unless you have a permanent or contractor badge. If you're just visiting for sales or job walks you're good unless they have some crazy lockdown screen which I've heard only about happening once.

Smoking every now and then is way better than drinking. The only reason people bring up shite about it is because it’s not yet legal here.
