What kind of broke dick piece of shite company you working for?
A fly by night company, where I have to worry abut receiving my direct deposit weekly.
I understand the perception, I truly do. And believe it or not, it's not a cost concern for our company. It's more of a way to maybe attract better qualified candidates for this position (more so than what you normally get, think Burger King type of employee). Looking at all options to try and reduce turnover as much as I can and would rather do this BEFORE the hire as this will cause less of a disruption to our culture and environment for those that are actually hired by us.

What are some things that I should consider when "screening" these companies?
Why the frick are you drug screening employees for the business I recall you opening?
Do you REALLY give a frick if these people are takin the pot?
You will miss out on some potentially outstanding employees in that field if so. I would suggest NOT screening for the pot but only the harder shite like the meth and hur-RON.

Different field. Different opportunity.
For the other that you know about, no drug screening necessary. As a matter of fact, it almost would have been a prerequisite for hire.

Is it possible to have the prospective employee pay for the drug screen initially and then be reimbursed cost plus interest (or a nominal fee) after 90 days (probationary period expires)?
Personally, I'd tell that company to go frick themselves if they told me that. It's a clear sign that the company is financially weak if they're forcing potential employees to pay for such things.

Just trying to maybe "weed" out candidates from those who are somewhat serious to those that would bolt for a .10 cent an hour earnings opportunity with another company.
Maybe you should raise what you pay $0.10 an hour, Ebenezer.
