Dr's statement about "post-symptom" people

I'm the only one here today, BTW.
Legit Dr on TV, said something very nonchalant that fot my attention like nothing else has in the past few days.
"Once people stop showing symptoms, they can "shed" the virus for up to 2 weeks"
People are going to haul arse out of their houses as soon as they feel better. We will see a 2nd wave later this summer as stir crazy people go on vacation around the world.
ETA: more descriptive title
ETAA: Hopefully it was an out of line remark and they really don't know yet.

No, but evidently shedding the virus can infect anyone they come into contact with during that time of no symptoms.

So are we to assume you think this will be a monthly occurrence until the end of time? Or are you suggesting the entire world just remain in hiding for a rolling 6-7 month period?
Why didn't we have relapse after relapse after relapse of the previous "pandemics" that have occurred every 2-4 years over the last 20 years or so?

In all seriousness, I've not seen much from actual experts about how long people who contract the virus and then recover or show little symptoms are contagious?

I’ve had the flu... after a week or so you get back to 100%.
Is this typically how it’s doing for those that didn’t die... which is vast majority.

No shite. No one is thing us how they actually knew they had it or what symptoms prompted a test. I don’t know if I have seasonal allergies or corona.

I don't think the quarantine ends when they "stop showing symptoms", right? I have seen people posting that they are only "released" after testing Negative for two consecutive test at least 24 hours apart.
I'm assuming this is diagnosed. Otherwise, any undiagnosed...we have no idea what they are doing as far as coming and going.

It's too early to say. What I know is that someone (Carl Goldman) from the Diamond Princess Cruise ship has been pretty consistently testing positive for 29 days. He recently tested negative but has to do two more negative tests (on Wednesday and Friday?) before he can leave.
There is some talk of the test picking up dead virus can reading positive. There was discussion of transporting his swabs to the CDC to see if they could grow the virus to see if it was viable or dead virus. But I don't think it's progressed too far in that regard.

Yesterday Fox had a guy on that tested positive weeks ago and still does. Has zero symptoms.
Said his doctors think they are picking up dead virus cell when they test him so were going to do something more in depth.

Which is why it got my attention. This was a Dr with the CDC or NIH being interviewed.
