The famous talking point of Baton Rouge being the only place I-10 goes down to one lane isn’t true.

I10E only goes down to one lane in one place: Baton fricking Rouge

Remember most people who talk shite have likely never been outside of Baton Rouge.

It’s actually even worse than the traffic pattern in Baton Rouge. It’s one exit lane that turns off. In Baton Rouge it technically never goes down to one lane because the exit isn’t for a few hundred feet after the 10/110 merge.
Texas > Louisiana once again
Texas > Louisiana once again

Funny, I looked at a traffic map of San Antonio and it clearly shows and interstate and a highway loop around the city. You know, things people
I’m LA have told politicians they needed for I don’t know how long.

Lots of major interstates drop down to one lane in cities with older freeway systems, like I-70 in Wheeling and I-55 in Memphis. AFAIK BR is the only time it happens with no loop or bypass to divert traffic

.. and also San Antonio.
In San Antonio they did some weird shite where i-10 makes a 90 degree turn into what should be i-35 and there's another exchange to get on the western part of i-10. It's like i-10 was broken up and then they just renamed and upgraded a different highway to i-10 so that it would be contiguous. There must have been some shenanigans when they originally came up with that plan.

Never let facts get in the way of an argument.

Here is a pic of the interchange.
I 10 does go down to one lane in each direction. It is at a stacked exchange.
Now unlike Baton Rouge, at least in San Antonio there are multiple loops and bypasses that probably make that interchange a breeze compared to the cluster f in Baton Rouge.
