Still the point you were trying to make just made LA look worse than Texas since our state Universities have tougher admission standards..

Bro...UT Austin enrolls 40,804 undergrad students while LSU enrolls 31,527 students

The State of Texas has 28.7 million people while Louisiana has 4.66 million people

I surely hope UT has higher admission standards than LSU based on those numbers alone

Edit: The UT system is not the only college system in Texas

I’ve lived my entire life on or just off the 30th parallel, also known as I-10. Born in Mobile Alabama, moves to Mandeville Louisiana, Lafayette Louisiana, Pensacola Florida, Milton Florida, Covington Louisiana, and now Canyon Lake Texas.
Canyon Lake Texas by far has been the greatest place I’ve lived. I’ll never leave Texas. Just my opinion.

Triggered!! This baw is from Texas and went to LSU and hung a Texas flag in his room and wouldnt stfu about Texas in conversations...Texas Tigers like you are a dime a donzen...as if there werent any colleges in Texas to go to since its such an amazing state

...and I’m the triggered one

Texas Tigers boost enrollment figures for LSU. Nothing wrong with that. I appreciate what both states have to offer. There’s too many uneducated people like you that can’t enjoy both sides of the Sabine.

Kind of mean to call your fellow Texan dumb isnt it?

Couldnt get into any of the 143 four year Texas colleges?

Try again baw

LSU paid for my entire education. I’m thankful to have graduated with $0 in student debt, a quality education, great life experiences, and a smooth transition into my career.

...so yeah, I’ll take that.

Wow...you’re actually proving Owl’s point.

You’re drawing a line in the sand here over a pretty petty issue.

I'm from Louisiana but have lived in Texas for years. I chose to retire here. But I'm not gay and I'm from Louisiana so I guess your statement is true or is at least in my case. My son is from Texas and he isn't gay. Hummm??

The Texans on this board seem to enjoy Louisiana. It’s a flawed state in many ways, but has several great aspects.

On the flip side, some natives of our neighbor’s to the east have an irrational hatred of Texas. Is it possible for one state to negatively impact another? I just can’t imagine why someone would be so pissy about all of this.

This has to be the dumbest thread I’ve ever read on here and I’ve been on TD since what, 2006? I’m sure in your two days of driving you were able to experience everything possible in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and El Paso

I have spent around a week of separate days in McAllen TX waiting to cross the border. Flown through Houston and Dallas a bunch. The 36 hours in Ranger Texas defines the state for me, though. Most depressing place that I have ever actually spent the night in. Only Jonestown MS could rival it, but I would not even consider sleeping there.

spent most of my life in lake charles, now in the texas hill country. I can honestly say there are things i miss about Louisiana, the people and food especially. But, if you're a young family trying to make $$ and raise a family there is NO comparison at all. The economy of the state of texas would be the 10th largest in the world as a stand alone country. Louisiana is a better place to be from.... i miss it.

Pretty sure the point was to poke fun at 'Texas Tigers' who are outspoken about their love for Texas but choose to come to Louisiana to get their education (there are 143 four year colleges in Texas to pick from). I am glad you were able to get such a fine education in such a fine state that allowed you to transition into the rest of your life so smoothly. I am also a proud LSU alumn

You have an issue with people who go to school somewhere other than their home state?

And where have I been outspoken?

I have no problem with them at all. I have many friends who are 'Texas Tigers' and I give them shite all the time about their Texas flags

If you draw conclusions about a state based on driving straight through it on the interstate I have an observation for you: you're a moron.

That statement isn’t someone being ‘outspoken’.
