DragonCon is fantastic. Had no clue what the hell it was but walking around their hotel and watching their parade was the highlight of my Chick-fil-A Kickoff Classic weekend.

My wife and I were in Atlanta for a quick weekend getaway, and we were staying at the Hilton downtown. We got there and learned that a con was taking place in the hotel that weekend. It wasn’t Dragon Con, but something else that wasn’t quite as big. At first I was pissed, but we were not planning on spending a ton of time in the hotel anyway so whatever. Well, we came back to the hotel around midnight on Friday night and it was awesome. Those people know how to party. The hotel bar was nuts until the sun came up, and the lobby was filled with drunk nerds singing karaoke in full cosplay. Definitely a pretty cool experience that we wandered into.

I was there in 08 and a bunch of cosplayers got mixed up with drunk Bama fans (they played Clemson in the Kickoff game). That was interesting.
