Very good points, but don't think for 1 second that the OLOLs of the world are not willing $$ partners in this 4th wave mongering. They are now using "intubated" terms for kids which not only makes the public ostensibly think of ventilators which is a trick of the trade, but these oxygen tubes also change the ICD codes for greater $$ reimbursement per patient. I would bet the ranch that many of these tubes being plugged up are not even mandatory for 2 out of 3 kids, it's just a BS emergency write-in P&P protocol for Delta to get higher $$ on diagnostic code reimbursement from insurance and Feds.

All of this. I'm squarely in the #4 area. What is NOT pushing me in that direction are emotional pleas by politicians or physicians. The city is WIDE open. People are packed into restaurants, grocery stores, camps, etc.
And maybe this new strain is crushing people. Again, I don't know that because the conversation is emotional drivel about the future of crowds in Tiger Stadium instead of actual data. This information should be so easy to chart and disseminate in 2021.

All they should do daily is push out this, with the age of people included:
Number of hospitalizations vaccinated
Number of hospitalizations unvaccinated
Number of deaths vaccinated
Number of deaths unvaccinated
Nothing else. No opinions, no talking. Just post that daily. I guarantee you that would lead many fence riders to get the vaccine

Sounds to me like she said that if we don’t get this shite under control, more people will die. She’s not saying everyone, she’s just saying more deaths. (That seems logical)
She also asserts that vaccinations will help us get past this shite. (Medical consensus)
So she then asserts that we AS A COMMUNITY (not necessarily as an individual) we need to get the vaccinations up enough to reach herd immunity and dampen the risk of other variants which could be worse. (Seems reasonable and she’s not saying to compulsorily).
Get the vaccine or don’t get the vaccine. I don’t give a shite. However I find it odd that this board would collectively attack a doctor over such relatively benign comments.
