No I can't.
But I know that bringing traffic to a halt on a major road to make a 90 deg turn is a terrible one.

This is the updated version with the widened flyover:
I think you’re right about the “mainline” language, though. It will be one lane on I-10 EB from the bridge. Of course, it’s one lane now with the Washington St exit but still.

most impressive thing about their plan is when they deny that during the work, I-10 will not be reduced to one lane in each direction except in the area that it will be reduced to one lane in each direction
Second this

Mainline highways means the through travel lanes of any highway. Mainline highways specifically exclude ramps, shoulders, turn lanes, crossovers, rest areas, and other pavement surfaces that are not part of the roadway normally traveled by through traffic.

Come again? I'm on team fix-the-shite-yesterday. I'm just saying it doesn't matter if they did the road diet or not to government, or any other road, but that the construction will have huge impacts on the entire region.

Very true but drive by any major highway construction project and it just seems barren. Few workers and most just standing around. Looking at old footage of building the Hoover dam it looks like the scene from the 10 commandments building the pyramids. If Americans don't want to work then bring in the mexicans, shri lankans, whoever I don't give a frick. Just get moving.

I think mainline is the stretch after the 10/110 merge to Acadian, but I'm not sure.
If there is a tear down and rebuild of bridges, you’d have to include the College Dr. intersection as well.

You have to admit, the flyover widening is a huge improvement to the plan.
As someone above said, we will basically have during construction the same as we have now - one lane eastbound coming off the bridge, two lanes westbound getting on.

Not impressed because DOTD can't keep up with striping and dealing with potholes, heaves and crevices on existing state roads.

Thanks. So they are doing exactly what I'm saying - playing with words so that they can convince folks that two lanes will be available on I-10 in each direction for the duration of the project, when like SPEEDY mentioned, that's not true.
I'm not so sure.
The language about a minimum two lanes each way is next to stage 2. The ramps you are concerned about that still have one eastbound lane are a part of stage 1.

This will NEVER work. What a clusterfrick. They think they’re gonna squeeze one eastbound and two westbounds on one ramp? What are they gonna do with the 18 wheelers ? They will have to go through that at a snail’s pace. Oh wait …

So one lane eastbound, two lanes westbound at the I10/I110 split. That's going to be tight!

So, you don't have a better idea but you whine about the one proposed. Maybe, although it isn't "great", it is the best option feasible (please note that word).
You kinda sound like you'd make a pretty typical wife. Complain about how the husband does something but can't suggest a better way.

dude, they're widening that first before construction on any other parts start..

Never mind, then. I’m sure it will be fine.

I haven't spent more than about 30 seconds studying the problem but I am quite sure given time I could come up something better.
I do know that 90 deg turns on major roadways are generally stupid.
Are you the engineer behind the design? You sure are taking this personally.
