Dorm Rats

I lived in Herget. I had a whole lot of fun living there at LSU but there were these dorm rats that never left the building maybe other than class. They were the modern day hipsters that used to smoke weed and sit on the back proch and play hackie sack. Not bad guys but just super weird that they made that their personality. I could come home from an LSU football game on a Saturday night and they were still just sitting around at the dorm. Was this always common at the dorms at LSU?

Maybe they could only afford to study, smoke weed, and hacky sack. Probably may have had a job so they could afford the weed.

That “personality” is universal and not unique to LSU dorms. They are now in every IT Dept in the world.

There was a big group in West Laville circa 1998. They were harmless and good natured. I actually never noticed them get high although they probably were. Mostly they sat in the dorm lobby watching tv or playing video games.

Power had a lot in the early nineties. Always in the common area. Couple of them actually grew pot in window planters outside their rooms.

Well, most college students aren’t old enough to get into a bar until they are seniors nowadays.
