Using TINs instead of SSNs isn't even a hack, it's operating as intended. FedGov doesn't care, and neither do the lazy kids everyone has raised that DoorDash $9 Starbucks orders.

Apparently someone got hired at DD couple years ago, probably an illegal and used my SSN
Got a letter from IRS last year that I owed thousands because i didnt report my income from them
Took longer than it should have to get resolved

That's the least of their worries. They will have DoorDash's multimillion lawsuit on their desk by Friday and the political climate of the judiciary is not friendly to any kind of defamation these days.
