you have NO ONE in your life, if are crossing that the road at night. I repeat, you do not have an able body daughter alive on this earth if you are crossing there at night.

how is it that I am hearing that a daughter is suing, when it's obvious the lady did not have a soul on this earth that cared for her if she was crossing that road at night.

None of the pictures matter. Uber cars don't rely on those videos for driving. The use LIDAR imaging data.

That's the 1st and only pedestrian accident involving an atomous vehicle. There were nearly 6,000 pedestrian deaths in 2016 involving vehicles driven by humans.

Yeah because there are the same amount of robot cars on the road so this is a great comparison

And did the lady not die? Accident vs Death.

If people are willing to completely cede control to a car why not put a breathalyzer in each one to save 10000+ lives a year?

If humans aren’t driving then it won’t matter how drunk someone is, you simpleton.

Like that woman was breaking the law and shite and deserved to be killed by a robot car that never braked or slowed down.

I learned "look both ways before crossing the street" when I was like 3.

s that no way in hell should a pedestrian be crossing the road there.

absolutely. And wtf is going on where there is so many people hanging around what looks to be a non-city-area road. I guess a big homeless community.

There are *lots* more people driving vehicles than autonomous vehicles. When I say "lots" I mean a factor of a gazillion.

I remain curious how LIDAR sensors (plus whatever else) failed to spot the pedestrian. That said, the number is so small it's hard to draw any meaningful conclusion.

The second picture has the building on the right lit up and the yellow lighting indicates a street light is on. Neither is the case in the top picture.

Lighting should be irrelevant anyway since autonomous vehicles "see" with radar.
