So, if not for the floor shitting would they be good to go? This is why you don't go peeking in windows like the busybody the rest of the church thinks you are.

This was a big deal that someone saw this as far as Catholics are concerned. Remember Catholics believe that the true presence of Jesus Christ is present on this same altar every day during Mass. There was a reason this person did this where he did and NOT in his personal residence or office or some non-sacred place.

Yeah, but legally that doesn't amount to much. They got the two women for vandalism. They have the same charge against him plus an "obsenity" charge. Seems like he may get probation at worst and have to pay some restitution. For all the shite that has been swept under the rug by the Catholic Church, it seems like this would be something they would just rather go away instead of having it rehashed in public in all of its scandalous and pervy detail.

Simple criminal damage to property greater than $500 carries up to a two year sentence with or without hard labor.
I guess I missed part of this story. What did they damage?

I agree that it's disgusting and they should definitely be banned from that church forever. I'm just not sure I see how this results in prison or jail time. I feel like I'm missing a part of this story.

I think people severely underestimate how bad/perverse stimuli affects sex for many people.
I don't think it was as much about invoking Satan as much as being dirty. Like people who get off having sex where they can be caught, or weird fetishes.
Should he be prosecuted? Sure. But this isn't something TERRIBLE like other perversions people succumb to. It effectively is a property crime (trespassing, criminal damage to property, etc) and not a crime with a victim (rape, molestation, etc. Which certainly deserve jail time).

Are you familiar with this person at all?

Probably bc there was more to why he did it than just sex. Desecration of the Church altar was probably part of what he was doing. There seems to be a strong possibility that what he was doing was a satanic or demonic ritual.
The Archdiocese had the altar burned immediately and other protocols enacted when they found out.
This is basically what happened from what I have heard.

I see. If that's the case, then the charges make more sense to me. I imagine those altars aren't very cheap. I bet it had to be completely replaced.

they seem to be a dime a dozen around here.

Catholic churches tend to have more ornate items than are in churches I typically attend, but I doubt even the normal looking pulpits are very cheap. They're a pretty specific item and don't get replaced very often. If you want to get one that holds up for a while, that probably isn't cheap.

On the very off chance that someone could ‘beat’ you in an argument, do you think you’d realize it?
Could that be the problem?

I can assure you that the Catholic Church has more than enough to cover the cost.

The chicks didn’t do anything wrong. They were invited into the church by the priest. The priest had full authority to invite them in for what they were doing. This is 100% on the priest.

I wonder if they will testify against Donnie Trump?
