WTF sort of name is Tandon anyway?

It will probably become the new Brayden/Jayden/Kayden trend in names...all started from the naming of a Nutria Rat.

1. There simply MUST be some degree of unusual smell in a bedroom that is now a home of a rat of that size.

She bathes the damn thing lmao
quote:

2. A rat of that size will cause some degree of noise trapped in a drawer all day. There must be no one in that house throughout the day.

Its only 4-5 weeks old right now, but I told her the same thing obviously. Her little Pomeranian already trips out over it, which I told her would get her busted or it would end up dog food if she wasn't careful.
quote:

3. There is NO WAY an adult in that house doesn't have at least some idea something is up.

I thought the same thing, but I saw it with my own eyes. My parents are so clueless, it is almost scary how well she has hidden it. It would NOT be hard for her to get busted.

4. Is this rat only eating twice daily?
quote:

Is she being home schooled with access to animal throughout the day?

Im not sure how much she has been feeding it but I can assure you it, this nutria is living a life that no nutria ever has! And no she isnt homeschooled, been out for Xmas for a week or so, not sure what she was doing before then. I assume going to school and chomping at the bit to get home at 3 lol

Coming from a parent I would be pissed as frick if my kid had a pet rat in her dresser. You should drop a hit to the parents. I can't believe they have not noticed it yet

Pretty cool story. Why not buy her a cage for it and make it look like a Christmas present from you and your parents may be open to keeping it? Just a thought

The world is a better place with people like your little sister. I admire the fact that she is working extremely hard to not not care for the nutria, but to also keep it hidden.

On a different note, she should name it Stan Frank. (Let's pray for a better ending)

Dang Rednecks like me - I had a flying squirrel and a Racoon (pets) that lived in my closet when I was a kid.

The Racoon finally made such a mess we let it go but it had it so good it kept coming back.

So here's the Nutria Dresser Suite. It's not exactly what I envisioned but it would definitely do the job. It was a smart place to put it considering the setup of her room.

Here's a few good snapshots I took from a video she sent me. I would post the video if I knew how.

Check out those webs

It definitely doesn't mind her petting

She took this one of it just chillin on her chest. Says that's where it likes to lay lol

I give her til the New Year (if not before then) til she gets busted. She told me my stepmom is onto her already and has been asking why she's been going to the backfield so much. And I already told her she was likely going to get in a good bit of trouble but she doesn't seem to care! Haha She just sneaks it out in her backpack, hops on her bike, and takes off!

You shoukd be proud of your sis. She has learned a lot about raising an animal and kicked butt doing it.

You should maybe talk to your parents so they dont flip out so bad about it. But then that might break your sisters trust too which wouldnt be good.

Your parents suck if they get mad at this.

Would it help if we all signed a petition supporting your parents letting her keep the nutria?

This has Hallmark Movie written all over it.

I have a feeling that something bad is going to happen soon but this cuddly rat is going to make everything okay in the end.
