Not even close. I've never cut my face or had as much razor burn as I've had using the DSC razors. I'll stick to paying more for Gilette

if you just run the blades down your forearm about 20 times, you get much more life out of even cheap arse blades.... #lifehack

Is Harry Blades better than DSC?

Fwiw...I cancelled my DSC last week and need a replacement when my blades run out. (I have 6 packs of DSC blades)

Are y'all using the executive blade? It's not the most comfy shave but it is the closest shave I've ever had. Love it!!

This is an original topic.

No need for sarcasm, just don't participate in the thread. Some people may not have been part of earlier threads and even if they were things change.

I joined DSC partly because of almost universal recommendation from this board when they first started. Now there's a lot of dislike for them. It does seem like the quality of blades has diminished from the beginning, but it is still very convenient and the blades that I am using today aren't Gillette quality, but they are pretty decent. I still have a shitload of their blades, but I did cancel because I have so many. I may or may not sign up with them again after I run out of blades, and I may start another "original topic" thread to inquire of the quality before I make the decision.

I've been getting the 4 blade version for at least 3 years. But I really need to cancel. I've got a huge stockpile amassed over the years. And I don't even shave (absent my neck) anymore, so I pretty much use one blade forever. Never had any problems with my DSC blades. They might not be AS good as the high dollar disposable, but they're way cheaper. It's not going to shave as well as a double edge safety, but it's way more convenient.

The razors and handles are complete shite.

You get what you pay for, I suppose.

Someone mentioned the butt wipes: there are better options for less cheese on Amazon.

Are the razors any good?

No.

For every one stroke of my mach III I needed probably four strokes with their razors. Tried it for one month and cancelled. Not worth the savings.

The 9 dollar blade is amazing. I use one a week just because I don't like using the same blade a lot

I pay $3 every other month and I have about 25 cartridges in my drawer. As soon as I feel like the blade starts to dull I throw it out.

I'm Team Beard so I give the razors to my roommate. The peppermint arse wipes are life changing.

Dollar shave club is awesome. I get the 2 blade razor for 3 dollars a month. I like shaving with a blade 2-3 times then throwing it away so this works great. I recommend it.

I've been using Dorco for a couple years without any complaints. $25 will supply me for well over a year. I've used the disposables, 3 blades and a 6 blade. The 6 seems overkill, but they seem to last 2x as long as a 3 blade.

I've wondered how this can be a viable business. I buy a bag of Schick disposables (double-edged with the little thing to clean between the blades) and each one lasts a long time. There's no way a service like dollar shave club can get close to what I currently spend. What am I missing?

I honestly love DSC. I have the executive package $9 a month, and it comes with 4 cartridges. Each cartridge has 6 blades on it. I can honestly say I've not cut myself once with any of the DSC blades, and I have to shave every single day (during the week) for the military. I actually ordered my wife a razor handle for herself so that she can use the DSC razors as well. I can make a DSC cartridge last two weeks, so I get two and she gets two.

Those tear my face up. You can get a 4 pack of the double edged razors from DSC for 1$. I use the six blade DSC blades for $9. I happen to really like them. For me they work as well as the Gillette fusion blades which run around $16-17 at Walmart.
