Other than the obvious illegality of this scheme why would they put their freedom and lively hoods in the hands of clients.

That’s what I told my paralegal when we were talking about it the other day. You’re only as strong as your weakest member of the criminal conspiracy and some of these otherwise smart people got in bed with some really, really dumb people.
