I love Great Danes. A good friend of mine had one and she thought she was a lap puppy. All she wanted to do was to get on your lap and snuggle. One of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever been around.

I watched that "Dogs Decoded" documentary that showed wolves with a "tame gene" (that still exist today, btw) were the first approach humans who had food, and reciprocally, provided humans/food source protection.
As more random DNA changes happened (where snouts got shorter, ears got floppier, coats got spots, etc.) and artificial mixed-breeding flourished, I look at my GF's annoying chihuahua and think "Somehow, this fricker evolved from a wolf."

This right here. Dogs love you with their whole heart. They are such special creatures. Had to put mine down in October of 2021 and still think about him and browse through pictures of the good times we had together.

Have a Great Dane. Best dog ever. They have no idea they are big dogs. When he lays down on us it’s like getting hit by a wrecking ball.
