This is actual dog flu, impacting dogs. It is shutting down lots of dog boarding and day cares here in North Texas.

Mine got it right before Christmas, it was nasty. High fever, puking and coughing like crazy.

Apparently they say it is moving nationwide.

Interesting...

Our dog got sick around the same time, but vet said it was bronchitis. I wonder if it was the flu.

Fever, coughing, and VERY lethargic...no puking.

He finally got better a day or so before Christmas.

Not sure if it was flu but my dog was very sick for 2 weeks. 3 vet trips.

Sneezing coughing lost all hearing for 3 days. Thought he was deaf for good

Thankfully two weeks to stop the spread in dog years is roughly 2 days.

This is a prime time for flu to spread through kennels and boarding facilities. So many families are traveling this time of year. A lot of dogs are getting boarded.

????? They make dog masks... but be sure to goole dog masks for dogs otherwise you end up with PhaggieSpanks furry masks for people.

Mine had the same symptoms you are describing. $200 dollars at the vet for medication and she is fine now.

We got hit an beginning, vet told us kennel cough (bordetella). He had the vaccine for that, but kennel cough is kind of a catch all for respiratory.

I think they have settled on canine flu now though.

Are the vets overwhelmed? Are they dancing yet? If so we might need to consider shutting it down.

Our dog came home coughing from vet boarding two days ago. Kenneled in Kenna brah since our normal vet was booked.
