This story is from 2010 but emphasizes how incredible a dog's sense of smell is.

How drunk do you have to be to not wake up to your dog eating your toe

He looks like the Edgar guy from MIB

"Before the surgery, Mr Douthett asked a nurse: ‘Is there any chance I can get whatever's left of my toe, so I can give it to Kiko as a treat?"

While I was in residency I had to amputate a few toes from a girl who was paraplegic. She got a new puppy, which she let sleep in the bed with her. Apparently, in the middle of the night the puppy got tapped under the sheets, go scared, and ate portions of several toes. It was awful.

Severe diabetics usually have nerve damage in their extremities. He probably didnt feel a thing. If this happened in 2010, chances are ole baw is no longer with us.

My aunts dog used to lick her lower calf for about 6 months, for no reason. It was odd, 6 months later my aunt breaks her leg, while running xrays and other shite, they find cancer in that same calf area, exactly where the dog would lick.

Not the first time i've known something like this 2 happen. Another guy, his dog would paw and lick at his knee. he thought it was just the dog being goofy, gets in car accident and they find cancer in the knee area.

Instead of MRI's, we should have cancer sniffing dogs who just give you a once over.

Would be a hell of lot cheaper.

I got shingles one time and it was pretty bad and went to a buddies house who has a dog. I never told the dog that I had shingles, and the owners never told the dog either. But the dog came up to me and jumped on the couch and start sniffing at my back at the spot where the shingles were at. He wouldn't actually touch my shirt/skin but was sniffing really close to it and I could tell he was checking it out and knew something wasn't right.

Usually this dog, which was a puppy at the time, would always try to jump over you and everyone but didn't this trip b/c of the shingles smell.
