Does your dog hate baths, but love swimming?

Mine thinks baths are the end of the world, but she won’t hesitate to jump in a pond, lake, or pool. What’s the deal with that?

My dog gets impatient. He’s cool for the first couple mins but after that he hates the bath. But he’s free to do his own thing when we swim

We got a Corgi a few months back and she enjoys both. At 6 weeks she voluntarily jumped in the pool without any hesitation and swam to the other side. Pretty impressive for a 5lb pup.

I have three labs, one black (female), one red and one yellow (males). The black and red love the water, lake, kinda hesitant on baths, but make due. The yellow only goes in the lake when hunting. Also kind of hesitant on baths but will come after heavy conniving. Used to have a black male that loved both the lake and baths. He would run around the yard while I sprayed him with the spray nozzle. Jump in a kiddie pool all day err day.

Yeah, she loves her little pool and playing in the sprinklers. Sometimes I just bathe her in her kid pool outside and she’s fine

My Lab would gladly walk into the shower for a bath. He liked swimming in a local pond but did not like to be near a water hose.

I don't think my dog swims...but I can tell he hates the bath...He knows the word and runs..He knows the words: Poo You Stink..Skunk..so it has to be a sneak attack. After the bath he stays away from me for at least two days.
The daily double is when I throw in trimming his nails. I have a Dremel for that...No touching his paws...EVER!
