The customer is nice, concentrating much of the workers allocated volume and weight to a single address. Also ensured it was in easily sized boxes for her dolley.

I have those neighbors. FedEx or UPS delivery every day. Never ever see them outside. Leave trash cans by the curb for days while they pile trash on the porch. Every 3 months or so they take the boxes and stack them up at the curb like a Fort. Can’t imagine what the inside the house looks like.

With all the shite my wife orders, I can see our poor delivery person having a similar breakdown.

one more thing…before the explosion of online ordering the typical UPS driver was a jacked up dude who could probably deadlift me without effort (generalizing, but accurate). You took that job because you were strong and you knew what you’d be doing all day.
Fast forward to 2025 and Amazon, no longer outsourced to proper freight handling, is hiring anyone with a pulse to deliver packages. Any lazy-arse Americans because they can’t be bothered to make any additional effort on their own behalf are ordering cases of water to be delivered.
