I also took the computer diagnostic test and my doctor literally laughed in my face at my results. Apparently it was the worst one he had ever seen. He will write me any prescription I want but as long as I am in sales and have no children at home I can manage without it.

First off, I'm certain that you aren't and your need to say it pretty much galvanizes my opinion.

Second, I was kidding.

Third, look at the silly monkey.

I just got aggravated at that test after a couple of minutes and started jamming the space bar whenever the hell I felt like it. I think I even started playing a song with it

I can also say that I don't go to disability services at school and ask for special treatment. The only thing I've ever done was to ask my teachers to let me take paper tests instead of computer tests in the lab. I also don't abuse Adderall, and just take it when I need to. Like I said earlier, I hate taking too much and speeding, so I normally take either 10 or 20mg per day depending on how much I am doing

A lot of people abuse it, or just take a bunch during finals. I have to take it the entire semester, or I'm not getting anything done

To those saying ADHD isn't real at all, that is counter to years of research in psychology, neurology, and psychiatry. Sure it is overdiagnosed but that doesn't negate the behavioral, cognitive, and physiological deficits that have been identified. We know the exact areas of the brain (frontal lobe or more specifically, the prefrontal cortex) and neurotransmitters that show dysfunction.

Strangely enough, the only professionals that I have seen to outright deny the existence are chiropractors (I'm sure not all of them though). And since that is well outside their training and scope of practice, making their opinion anything but professional, then you would be hard pressed to find many professionals who hold that belief.

Sounds like a sensory processing disorder and no where near hyperactivity. I think most people claiming they're ADHD are simply on the spectrum somewhere.

So back to the waterpark. As I was going up I was telling my SO. Look at the metal structure, galvanized metal is expensive I wonder what the cost vs painting is on a yearly basis. Boom. It occurred to me lots of costly piping to move water to the top. I wonder what GPM pumps to move the volume ? Is this structure grounded ? By the time I got to the top I had redesigned it to be both grounded and possible to move current across to spare the galvanizing process. I still wonder how much effort was used to evaluate the pipe diameter vs height to pump power to maximize the flow and lower energy cost ? Having add need not be a crutch but I agree too often its used that way. Anyone want to buy a waterpark ?

This is my thought process 24x7. I have used it to my advantage by constantly looking for ways to make things better where I work. The hyper focus works for me because of what I do, which is trouble shoot and solve problems. I have leveraged it to the max. That being said I know I have significant gaps in my abilities.

the " constant light rain of post it notes" is a perfect description of my brain. I've never been diagnosed but barely made it out of high school. Can't take any Meds because of a heart issue anyway.

My tutor thought it was BS until he taught middle school. Then, he finally came back and said he understood why my brain did what it did. Unless you have first-hand experience with it, you have no room to talk
