Jr. High age children in my neighborhood start gathering around for the bus at 6:15.
Bus like clockwork at 6:30.
May be staggered times for other school age groups.

It was always 8:05 for me back in the day, and my son's school starts at either 8:05 or 8:10

Many boomers are going to be upset at this fact and call millennials pussies and stuff
But MULTIPLE peer reviewed articles have demonstrated that it is very detrimental to wake kids up at 5-6am every day to get them to school at the arse crack of dawn
Some schools these days have tardy bells ring at like 8:30-9:00am
The feeling of my alarm and my mother coming to tell me it’s time to get up for school at 5:40 every morning as a child was miserable in so many ways
As an adult I wake up at 4:45 every morning no issue
But it’s so bad for kids

and my kids start at 8:20 and they get out at 3:35
they dont start school until 9:20 on Fridays

I teach a high school class on a college campus in Fl and we get going @ 7:30. The kids here have so much freedom it's hard to believe
