I also seem to get at least one extra piece of chicken at Popeyes. Sometimes two or three.

Not the biggest canes fan, but they do offer a "naked" option which is fried chicken without the batter. Not as good of a hidden substitute as BOBs on your toast but just a friendly FYI.

Only extras I ever got at Popeyes was a worm in my red beans and a hair on my biscuit

If they screw up my order, which they likely do, I always sweet talk the manager, who is usually a black woman, and I always get extra pieces..

I went to Popeyes the other day for the first time in probably 10 years. We were traveling, it was right off the interstate (I-12 O'Neal Lane exit), and the SO wanted it.

Contrary to popular perception, it was quick, accurate, and very reasonably priced. Not to mention tasty.

ETA: I did go inside and order in person. Not sure if this makes a difference in service.

Yes, they do that with me also.
Not only when I order in the store, but also when I order for myself, and my parents, in the drive-thru, one box always has an extra tender too.

I used to get free Cokes from the young ladies at the I-35 (Stemmons) and Mockingbird Jack-in-the-Box in Dallas.

Amazon did that for me on a $800 recliner. They emailed me saying it had been delivered, but it wasn't at either my carport or front door. I called them and told them I had not received it, and they said they'd send another one at no charge. It showed up as being shipped in "MY Orders" with a $0 balance. The day the second one was being delivered, I found they had put the first one on my back porch. I told the delivery guys To keep the second one on the truck & send it back to them.
If I had been an a-hole, I probably could have kept both of them.
