Of course this is one more attempt of the left to say Trump is a dumbass but the idea of doing something to disrupt hurricanes has been around forever. Just like the Greenland thing. Presidents since Harry Truman have been looking into buying Greenland to keep Chinese and Russian influences out of the strategic landmass.

Center of a strong hurricane eye is extremely low pressure.
Thought process is by blowing up a nuke, it would raise the pressure in the eye and the storm would fall apart.
