No. I am not interested in Law. That profession is solid, but it has multiple drawbacks (getting accepted into a top program, how to make partner, the sheer amount of graduates respective to actual jobs, etc.)
If I go back it will probably be vocational (like process technician, auto mechanic, etc.)

I think the issue is that we don't have enough companies to hire and keep these people. Either that or the graduates are leaving at faster rates than companies can hire.
If you remove culcha- all races we are on par with the rest of the country. If you disagree. Average magnet school scores and private schools and compare to the rest of the country.

The areas with the lowest performing schools (New Orleans, NBR) vote overwhelmingly for Democrats. They also tend to have the highest crime rates. Go figure. Nice try though.

Brain drain is one of the biggest problems with Louisiana right now. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy. They leave because of lack of opportunities, but the opportunities are lacking because of an undereducated work force.
I don’t like TOPS money being used by folks who haul arse as soon as they get a degree.

I work somewhere else now. But changing professions is something that I think about should I ever decide to be closer to family.
Half the posters on here know what that's like. Sometimes being close to family is very important.

Every place has its pros and cons. I lived and worked in Boston.Its cold there and very expensive. Lived and worked in New Mexico, may retire there. Parts of it are beautiful and it is not expensive.
