AKA "beer balls"

Were they just a relic of the 80's and 90's? Don't think I've seen one in about 15 years....

Me either now that you mention it.

The mini-keg is the size equivalent.

We had them in Arkansas all through high school(graduated in '99). Then they disappeared. Last time I saw one was in Destin around 2007-2008

Saw one a few years ago. Not sure where it came from though.

I don't know if it's what you're talking about but specs sells individual serving size ball shaped containers of wine and mixed drink/shot type things

Party ball is 3.5 gallons(I think) of beer in a plastic ball with a tap on it.

Looks like they were discontinued back around 2012 or so.

I know Coors Light advertised them a lot. I seem to remember really splurging in college for a Killian's one. Hard to even find pics.

The Bud Light one could be used by the penal system to discourage underage drinking.

The image of it is unappetizing.

A considerable part of my college experience revolved around Coors Light party balls, iced down in one of those giant rubbermaid plastic tote boxes. It makes me sad that today's college kids will never know those joys.

Of course, I grew up and got a real job and thank heavens realized Coors Light isn't really beer.
