When I go grocery shopping, sometimes I like to sling my Garand M-1. I find people avoid me for the most part.

Did he have a mullet by any chance. The only time I’ve ever seen someone open carry was at the Lowe’s in Hammond. I wanted to take a pic and ask the OT who the was but didn’t want to get caught in that act.

No, I have a CC permit. Also if you do, have fun with your disturbing the peace citation and dealing with the cops while they loose their shite on you. It may be legal, but it is now very wise.

I find that most everyone who I have seen open carry has been either kind of fricked in the head or just some frickhead who just watched Rambo.

IMO, if you want some trouble, open carry and it will find you.

ETA: the only place that I do think open carry is reasonable is somewhere like a boat ramp, where you are alone and distracted messing with the boat.

There’s an old timer regular at my local suburban Starbucks who open carries and makes all the soccer moms, teenage girls and freelance IT guys feel extremely uncomfortable. He is an incredible douche bag.

Last one I saw was some white trash baw at a gas station in Cullman, Al peacocking around because he thought he was a badass with a tarus on his hip.

Like others have said, he is the first one shot when something goes down.
