You’re a nicer guy than 99% of us, myself included. No chance I would put a hotel room on my credit card for someone in that situation. Too much risk of you being held responsible if they use the hotel room for drugs, prostitution, or just destroying it and the hotel charging thousands to your credit card for damages.

Offering them a meal and a ride to a local homeless shelter would have been quite generous IMO. And if they turned it down, it means they didn’t want real help to begin with

Hopefully your kindness doesn’t bite you in the arse

I stopped by last evening and brought lunchables and chips for the three children. They seemed happy and cheerful, guess its a big adventure for them.

The guy told me he lost his job and the mom is 7 months pregnant with # 4 on the way. He said he has experience in a number of labor type jobs.I told hiom there were construction jobs and lawn care jobs availabe so hopefully he will find something.

frick you. If you cared enough, you would do something real and tangible to help other than making it someone else's problem.

Why you gotta be so nasty?

Bringing food and water isn't tangible?

few weeks ago we observed this, got BRPD and DCFS involved and brought waters and food to the children.

I have also forwarded this thread to Mayor President Sid Edwards Community Outreach Director.

I will update you when we know more soon.

Thanks for the lead.

TYFYS!

Been by there the last 3 mornings and haven't seen the group outside the CVS. Was wondering their status. Guess we know now.

No kid should be unhoused and should be removed from parents who can’t house and care for them.

Speaking from experience

Homelessness will not qualify for "in need of care" in and of itself HOWEVER if the kids are deemed in need of care they won't reunifiy the family if they don't have stable housing. In Florida they will.

Wow. I suppose too there’s nowhere to place the kids bc if we are going with “unfit” there’s plenty of housed kids in the public schools who should be removed. Thanks for clarifying.

Update to this case:

After several days of searching, the Mayor’s Director of Community Outreach located the family yesterday evening at the CVS.

The family was provided funding for temporary housing/hotel room through the weekend before permanent housing will be provided to them early next week.

The children were in good health and did not show any signs of neglect or abuse.

Special thanks to several additional community leaders that stepped up and assisted with helping to ensure this family received the resources it needed during a very difficult time.

Additional thanks to the original poster for getting the information about this family out so that their struggles could be met with much needed resources.

Thank you.

Bottom line is you are just an old dusty count who’s time has passed and this website gives you agency and a social outlet. I give no fricks. You are a pest. Appear to be kinda stupid, and I’m satiated that your only source of joy to extract in the world is to extract attention from other lonely mouth breathers who are so socially inept LSU is their only identity so they hang onto it until they wither and die in the LSU woman cave they drive their husband away to die in
